Lancing death crash driver named

POLICE have named the driver of a car who died at the scene of a collision in Western Road, Lancing, 10 days ago.
He was Gordon Pickett, aged 75, of Tower Road, Lancing.

The incident took place just after 2.30pm on Thursday, August 7, when the Honda Jazz car Mr Pickett was driving was in collision with a Royal Mail van. The driver of the van was taken to Worthing Hospital and treated for minor injuries and shock.

Any witnesses to the incident are asked to call the Road Policing Unit on 0845 6070999 quoting serial 1032 of August 7.
