The school holds the event each year so students can learn about the world in which they live. Dawn Kearney, headteacher at Goring First School said: “The children were learning a lot and having fun while they were doing it.” The school were also raising funds for a well to be built in Sierra Leone. Activities included sponsored laps around the school field. Altogether over £1,000 was raised. Dawn added: “We have had letters and pictures saying thank you from the children and parents in Sierra Leone.”
