TOWN MEETING: Hailsham Town Council has its annual town meeting at the Civic Community Hall in Vicarage Lane on Tuesday. Information stands from 6.30pm. Main meeting starts 7.30pm. The Mayor will present a review of the Town Council’s activities during the year. Questions from the general public have been submitted to the Town Clerk and will be addressed by the Mayor and Councillors. If members of the public wish to submit a question in advance, please advise the Town Clerk in writing (Town Council Offices, Market Street, Hailsham, BN27 2AE) or email john.harrison@hailsham-tc.gov.uk by no later than Monday 12th April 2016. QUIZ NIGHT: Hailsham Parish Church is asking you to put together a team for an evening of trivia, testing and testimony from Olympic Gold Medallist, Louis Attrill. BONFIRE BINGO: Tonight, Friday, at the Charles Hunt Centre at 7pm for 7.30pm start. CORINTHIAN CHURCH: The Service this Sunday starts at 11am in Primrose Hall followed by refreshments. The Medium on this occasion is Terri Spain. There are private readings on Saturday April 23 between 10am to 2pm. The Mediums are Samantha Turell, Glyn Davis and Angie Alley. He came home from Luxor where he was sent to recruit after rheumatism. He came home from Napes in the Britannic, which can take 8000 patients, using its decks. There were 2400 and it seemed empty. He saw all the landing at Helles Bay on the Sunday from the ship where he was, and himself landed on the Wednesday. He describes the landing and work of the Lancasters as terrible and magnificent. He joined in November 1914, went to Rouen, then Marseilles, then the Dardanelles, then Egypt. Our Postmaster and our Doctor, Major Black, next door neighbours, have set the young men a splendid example. Also, I hear 94 boys have been allowed to go to agriculture to help the Farmers in East Sussex. We must have some women, too, like their sisters in France. I hear some are taking to milking.
