Outdoor pool on Brighton seafront to '˜resurrect' area east of the pier

The collective behind plans for a long-anticipated outdoor swimming pool at Madeira Drive said it wants to revive '˜competitive and recreational sea-swimming on Brighton seafront'.

The developer Sea Lanes Brighton Ltd, is made up of businesses and groups passionate about swimming, including Brighton Sea Swimming Club, Copsemill Properties, QED Sustainable Urban Developments and Swim Trek.

This week it unveiled its plans for a 25m outdoor swimming pool and commercial space at the Peter Pan site.
