Trebles are tops for Bognor darts aces

AN amazing night at the Bognor British Legion involved a blind trebles knockout taking place before the presentation of this year's trophies for the Friday Night Summer League.

A total of 69 players turned up for the knockout.

The semi-finals saw Ron Burgess (Bognor Legion A), Steve Aizlewood (BRSA B) and Andy Stubbs (Chi Snooker B) take on Nathan Warren (Chi Snooker C), Becky Shoebridge (Newtown SC X) and Glo Greene (Bognor Legion B), and Arthur Clark (Chi Snooker A), Mark Hatton (Chi Snooker C) and Richard Ragless (Wheatsheaf) face Rob Ragless (Wheatsheaf), Hayley Gatford (Chi Snooker B) and Rich Cousins (Chi Snooker B).

The final was between Warren, Shoebridge and Greene and Ragless, Gatford and Cousins. It was all too much for Warren, Shoebridge and Greene, who let the win slip through their fingers, but still took home the runners-up money. Ragless, Gatford and Cousins on the other hand were elated to win the match and take the winners money.
