THE Shoreham Society will host an evening of debate on the Sustainable Communities Act on Friday, October 17.
The meeting entitled It's Not Sustainable – Or Is it? will include a talk by Stephen Shaw and will be chaired by MP Tim Loughton.
Mr Shaw is a member of Local Works, the group that campaigned to introduce the Sustainable Communities Act which aims to preserve local services and ensure the views of residents are taken into account by local authorities.
Residents are invited to attend the meeting to find out whether the Act is likely to achieve anything for Shoreham.
Admission for the talk on Friday, October 17, at 7.30pm in St.Peter's Church Hall, West Street, Shoreham, is £2 for members and £3 for non-members.
