I HAVE been researching the Southwick air crash (a Valiant jet bomber crashed on Southwick Recreation Ground on May 11, 1956] for a number of years now and was almost on the point of drafting out a text for publication.
When I started this task, I asked your readers for any memories and I received many helpful and interesting replies.

It was good to see Ted Heasman's recent excellent article in your paper and I am delighted that this has already generated some further fascinating memories.

It seems like a good idea to see if there are any further readers out there who remember the crash.

I can then update my script and hopefully complete my work.

I would be delighted to hear from any eye-witnesses either to my home address, of 7 The Crescent, Southwick, or by emailing johnryoungac@yahoo.co.uk
