INSTEAD of this talk of fining motorists for leaving their cars idling whilst stationary, more to the point, fine whoever controls the crossing gates for leaving them closed for excessive time, thus causing the problem.
Eastern Avenue in Shoreham and West Worthing station crossings are the worst.
