TWO SECOND-HALF mistakes cost Southwick Football Club their place in the FA Cup on Tuesday evening (August 19).
Wickers had done the hard work on Saturday with a hard-fought draw away to their Combined Counties League opponents when Columbian striker Ludwig Manrique Nino grabbed an injury-time equaliser.

And, with the momentum with them, Southwick took the lead after just four minutes of the replay on Tuesday. Ashley Dorrington cracked home Nick Green's cross at the far post.

Wickers could have increased their lead before half-time but Grant Bean fired a one-on-one opening over.

Seven minutes after half-time Cobham equalised. John Elliott was adjudged to have handled in the penalty area, and Rob Anderson scored from the spot.

Two minutes later, Cobham took the lead after a long ball had bounced over Southwick defender Adam Matthews' head.

Cobham sealed the win in the closing stages, when their striker cut out a Jamie Stideford pass to run through and score.

Cobham will now host Ryman League Merstham in the next round.
Southwick player-manager Dominic Shepherd said: "Their two goals early in the second half killed us, really.

"The first goal was never handball by John, but we then made two silly mistakes which gifted them their other two goals.

"Although, they are two levels above us, it was a great chance for us to go through, but, on the night, we were probably just a little bit too inexperienced.

"However, we've started off well in the league and have got to keep that going. We're a young side and will look to bounce back at home to Sidley on Saturday (3pm]."

SOUTHWICK: Taylor; Lipscombe, Matthews, Elliott, Donoghue; Dorrington, McNeil, Stideford, Bean; Green, Nino. Subs: Wotherspoon (Nino 60), Shepherd (McNeil 75), Steele (Green 83), Rahaman, Chidgey, Harrington.

On Saturday, Nino had grabbed an equaliser five minutes into injury-time. He headed home Elliott's cross at the far post, after Wickers were feeling it was not going to be their day.

With four minutes left, they had an effort ruled out. Shepherd tapped home after jumping with Cobham's keeper, but the referee adjudged a foul by Shepherd.

At 0-0, Adam Steele, Nino, and Dave Seago, who pulled out of the replay with a calf injury in the warm-up, all went close.

Cobham had taken the lead on 35 minutes when Wickers keeper Nick Taylor could only push a 35-yarder on to the bar, and the rebound was tapped in.

SOUTHWICK: Taylor; Lipscombe, Elliott, Matthews, Donoghue; Bean, Seago, Stideford, Steele; Nino, Green. Subs: Thomson (Green 5), Dorrington (Thomson 65), Shepherd (Steele 80), Harrington, Rahaman, Chidgey, McNeil.
