PUPILS at The Towers Convent School, Upper Beeding, were in the pink to raise money for breast cancer research.
Year-11 girls dressed in various shades of pink to raise money as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, as well as holding a cake sale, where all the cakes had pink icing.

Headmistress Carole Baker said: "Particularly spectacular was a large sponge cake covered entirely in vivid pink icing."

The rest of the senior girls wore their normal school uniform, with one pink item, from pink ribbons to pink ties or tights.

"As The Towers has a red uniform, the pink items clashed horribly, but all the girls agreed that it was in a good cause," said Mrs Baker.

The girls raised a total of £300.
