INFORMATION from the public is needed to tackle bogus traders, find out more about a fall from Broadwater bridge, a raid on a business and tyre slashing.
Woman fellPOLICE desperately tried to cling onto a woman who was dangling from a bridge in Broadwater.
Officers managed to grab the woman's clothing as she fell over Broadwater Bridge, in Broadwater Road, on Friday (August 22).
But the clothing ripped and the woman, aged in her early 20s, fell around 20ft and fractured her leg.
Police on duty in the area had seen a "distressed" woman walking along the road and stopped to talk to her shortly before the fall at around 2am.
After the fall she was taken to Worthing Hospital.
Any witnesses to the incident should call Worthing police.
Bogus tradersA MAN paid three "bogus traders" £500 after they said the guttering at his Worthing home needed some work.
The three men did not carry out any work at the house in Shakespeare Road but demanded a £500 call-out fee.
Police say the victim, in his 60s, was approached when returning home from work in Teville Road, Worthing, just after 4pm on Friday, August 15.
Three men in a Transit van flagged him down and told him the guttering at his home needed some works.
They arranged to attend his home in Shakespeare Road the following day.
On August 16, they attended and placed a ladder up against the victim's house but he declined to have any work done and asked the men to leave.
The suspects demanded a £500 call-out fee, which, in fear, the victim paid.
Police are appealing for witnesses who may know who the three men are.
The first man is described as white, well built, with short black hair and an Irish accent.
He is aged in his late 30s to 40s, around 5ft 9in to 5ft 10in in height and was wearing a blue jumper.
The second man is white, of medium build with a moustache, aged in his 40s and 5ft 9in to 5ft 10in tall.

He was clean shaven and had an English accent.
